If you're dreaming of an elopement that feels personal, low-key, and meaningful, Nebraska has some hidden gems—especially around Lincoln and Omaha. Eloping doesn’t mean you’re missing out; it just means you're doing it your way, with less pressure and more intention. Whether it's just the two of you or a few close people, there are some incredible places here that are perfect for a relaxed, beautiful celebration. I’ve rounded up some of the best elopement spots near Lincoln and Omaha to help you find the right fit.

Sheldon Museum of Art

Sheldon Museum of Art is one of my favorite outdoor spots in Lincoln. The bold architecture and wide open grounds give it a modern, artistic feel without feeling overdone. It’s usually quiet, and the natural light out there is amazing for photos. And since it’s just a short walk from downtown, it’s easy to celebrate your elopement after with a fancy dinner and drinks.

  • Minimalist architecture with great symmetry
  • Quiet location with an artsy touch
  • Beautiful landscaping right outside the museum

Pioneers Park

If you're looking for a quiet, woodsy spot to elope in Lincoln, Pioneers Park is a solid choice. It’s got open green spaces, winding trails, pretty ponds, and even some striking pillars that look amazing in photos. It feels secluded without actually being far from town. Super chill and relaxed vibe—perfect for couples who want nature without the drive.

  • Lots of space and privacy
  • Wooded trails and ponds that photograph beautifully
  • Right in Lincoln, so it’s easy to get to

Sunken Gardens

Sunken Gardens is one of the most popular elopement spots in Lincoln—and for good reason. Between the koi pond, flower beds, and stone paths, it seriously feels like a little escape inside the city. It’s well-kept and peaceful, and no matter the season, there’s always something blooming. It’s great if you want a romantic, colorful backdrop.

  • Lush gardens and flowers everywhere
  • Intimate feel with a variety of ceremony spots
  • Super central and easy to access

Lauritzen Gardens

If you're into flowers and greenery, Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha might be the perfect place. It’s huge—over 100 acres—with tons of beautiful spots to say your vows. You can choose a more formal garden space or find a quiet corner under the trees. There’s always something in bloom, and it’s one of those places that just feels magical.

  • Gorgeous landscaping and floral variety
  • Great mix of formal gardens and cozy nooks
  • Close to downtown Omaha

Nebraska State Capitol

If you want something a bit more dramatic and historic, the Nebraska State Capitol is gorgeous. The architecture is next level and the views from outside are great, too. Whether you’re inside under the rotunda or outside in the gardens, it has a quiet elegance to it. It’s a meaningful place for couples who love history or just want something grand.

  • Stunning views and architecture
  • Historical significance
  • Beautiful both inside and out

Joslyn Art Museum

The Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha has that elegant, timeless feel. Its art deco design makes for an incredible indoor ceremony space, and there’s a sculpture garden outside that’s perfect for portraits. It’s a mix of art, architecture, and calm outdoor space—great if you want something more refined and artistic.

  • Sophisticated and unique location
  • Indoors or outdoors, it’s gorgeous
  • Right in downtown Omaha
