The Dubina family’s photo session at the UNL East Campus was filled with laughter, sunshine, and so many sweet moments. This location in Lincoln, Nebraska, is one of my favorite spots for family photos because it offers a little bit of everything—open fields, tall pine trees, and classic university architecture.

We started the session near a row of beautiful pine trees where the light filtered perfectly through the branches. The two little girls were full of energy, running and playing while their parents shared smiles in the background. These kinds of moments always make family photos feel genuine and relaxed.

From there, we moved to the stairs of one of the campus buildings. The clean lines and neutral tones made a great backdrop for some slightly more posed family portraits. I love using this area because it gives a timeless look to the photos while still keeping that local Lincoln charm.

To finish the session, we walked to the open field with the university buildings in the distance. The soft evening light made the colors glow, and the mix of natural and architectural backgrounds added great variety to their gallery.

UNL East Campus is a wonderful location for family photography in Lincoln, Nebraska, especially for families who want a mix of nature and classic scenery. Whether you’re planning updated family portraits or just want to capture your kids as they grow, this spot offers plenty of photo opportunities throughout the year.
