Jake and Katie’s engagement session at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska was one of those evenings that felt effortlessly beautiful. The golden sunset washed over the tall grass, creating the perfect glow as they laughed, held hands, and enjoyed the quiet moments together. Katie looked stunning in a short white dress that caught the light with every step, and her pear-shaped diamond ring sparkled as she reached for Jake’s hand.


We wandered through the open fields, letting the soft light and their natural connection guide the photos. The way Jake looked at Katie made every shot feel genuine and full of warmth. They shared stories, twirled in the grass, and laughed between each pose, which made everything feel easy and real.


Pioneers Park was the perfect spot for them—it gave us the wide-open Nebraska scenery, a soft sunset backdrop, and a relaxed atmosphere that let their personalities shine. Sessions like this remind me why I love capturing engagement photos: it’s all about the in-between moments, the quiet smiles, and the way two people fit together.
