Igor and Tatyana’s elegant wedding day in Lincoln, Nebraska was full of meaningful moments, beautiful locations, and a laid-back vibe that made the entire day feel true to them. From portraits at the iconic Sheldon Art Museum to a glowing sunset on the Wilderness Ridge golf course, this wedding had all the timeless beauty and romance you could ask for.

Portraits at the Sheldon Art Museum

We started the day with couple and wedding party portraits at the Sheldon Art Museum, one of the most striking spots in Lincoln for wedding photography. The museum’s modern white architecture and the soft natural light around its exterior made the perfect clean backdrop. Igor and Tatyana chose not to do a first look, so the energy during portraits felt fresh and excited.

We explored the area around the Sheldon, using the sculptural elements and tree-lined paths nearby. The mix of classic black suits, Tatyana’s flowing gown, and the surrounding architecture made everything feel both timeless and contemporary.

Ceremony at Their Family Church

After portraits, everyone headed to Igor and Tatyana’s church for the ceremony. The space was meaningful to them and filled with friends and family. The ceremony was heartfelt and simple, focused on their faith and the commitment they were making to each other. Documenting these types of authentic, unscripted moments is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day—when everything slows down and you can feel the emotion in the room.

Reception at Wilderness Ridge

Once the ceremony wrapped up, the celebration moved to Wilderness Ridge, one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Lincoln. With its cozy lodge-style interiors and elegant details, it created the perfect contrast to the crisp, clean look of the earlier portraits. Guests were greeted with warm lighting, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The reception kicked off with dinner and toasts, followed by dancing and a relaxed flow to the evening. Wilderness Ridge always brings a sense of warmth and calm to a wedding day—it never feels rushed or overwhelming, which makes for genuine photos and happy guests.

Sunset Photos on the Golf Course

As the sun started to dip, we snuck away with Igor and Tatyana for a short sunset session on the Wilderness Ridge golf course. The golden light was perfect, and the wide-open space gave us a soft, natural backdrop for more relaxed portraits. These moments are always some of the most romantic—after the ceremony, after the nerves, just the two of them soaking it all in.

Sparkler Exit to End the Night

To wrap up the night, their guests lined up for a sparkler exit just outside the venue. It was the perfect send-off—full of laughter, cheers, and glowing light all around them. I love sparkler exits because they’re such a fun way to end the story of the day, and they always look amazing in photos.
